Official Harness intact

The DeepSeek Web UI, plugin graph, agent runtime, workspaces, sessions, and provider configuration remain the product core.

A real desktop process

Electron starts Harness Host in a child UtilityProcess and uses private process IPC instead of exposing an HTTP listening port.

Desktop-owned local state

Sessions, settings, credentials, plugins, Chromium data, and logs stay separate from a concurrently running Web profile.

WHAT THIS FORK ADDS

The desktop app is a community wrapper, not an official DeepSeek release.

It reuses the official Harness Web UI and runtime rather than replacing them. DeepSeek AI publishes the upstream project; this fork packages that project into native desktop installers.
